Nick, I have to disagree, I love the L322 but it just looks like a P38/L322 upgrade to me, stick with the L322 original spec IMHO Bow down

I get the ' lets up date the 322 to 405 look' and I do quite like it BUT spending 20K on the conversion is pointless imo, it would be like having a fake Rolex watch with a Chinese movement innards and then driving a mazda mx5 to look like a lotus ! The people in the know will know its a fake FF.

Mind I do like the white body and red interior leather, but I do different and not follow the norm Rolling with laughter If it dont work.......burn it!

If the IId tool cant fix it.......burn the FF.

If the FF cant be fixed......buy a Land Cruiser!

If the LC cant be fixed..............................................BUY a horse !!

To be blatantly honest, I am not a huge fan of the new L405. They essentially made a bigger evoque in my opinion. However I will take this converted L405 over the real thing any day! For obvious reasons this conversion carries the L322 essence and I am really starting to dig it. And 20,000$ to make your L322 look like a newer 2014 L405 without the hideous crushed roof, I'd take that over spending 100,000$+ on that XL sized RR Evqoue. Zambezi Silver Range Rover (2010 Autobiography Facelift)
Mercedes Benz GL450 4Matic (X164)
Mercedes Benz E500 4Matic (W211) (Sold)
Mercedes Benz 300SDL (W126)
Lexus LX470 (J100)
Audi A8L (D3 Chassis)

Rosco - not disputing the L322 looks better. I prefer it to the L405 anyday...my point was that the L322 conversion sits well and compared to a genuine L405 I like it. I did add that 20k for a conversion seems pointless...I don't think RR drivers in the UAE are short of a few Dirums ! Is this where I put the car details and a bit about myself ?........

Nick, if i was to spend $20k I would buy a good SC or I could get a good TD6 and make it look like a 2012, that L405 upgrade is imho not right, its a different car! Thumbs Up

Yes, totally different...and in some ways a better looking car than the 'actual' L405 it's trying to be, that's my point and maybe in that you can clearly see it's roots in an L322 Smile Is this where I put the car details and a bit about myself ?........

Nick, wouldn't disagree but still not an l322, yes upgrade but that's a step too far in my view, buy an L405 if you want one Thumbs Up

No different in essence (apart from the cost) to someone sticking "M" badges and a loud exhaust on their standard BMW - same applies to those who convert an early L322 to look like a later car Very Happy

Talking about a early FF made to look like a 2012, I see what you are saying, but an M badge on a standard BMW is not similar IMHO, as the early converted FF has genuine parts used, so externally, it is a 2012 car. A non M badged BMW with an M badge has nothing in common.

Though to be fair, I see where you are coming from. Always wanted to put a 518i badge on my genuine M5....... not.

As with all these high cost conversions, you have to build up the body to smooth the altered panels, and after a couple of years in the sun, all the cracks and warping show it up as a bit sad looking. I like to watch discovery channel programmes showing hot rods being built, and overhauled etc. they look great in bright lights etc on week 1 but you know they are going to look wobbly sooner or later.
The main rule with buying something that looks modernised is that it is actually worth less!
you see kids spending thousands on their corsa's and get very little back in the long run, so your money is very 'spent'

One day, in the future, I can see people paying a slight premium for early models, just like the original classic range rover two door is sought after now...

Red is wrong though, unless you are under 23

No one as advertised offering this service really, not really worth it in the end I think now that the L405 is 3 year old and "cheap" enough. l=Oo\________/oO=l l:OolΞΞΞΞΞΞΞloO:l
