Wife comes home reporting "Air Suspension Inactive" message and EAS locked at standard height (light on in middle of control switch).
I (general numpty) have a look - confirm she is indeed correct - and also when bringing up 4X4 info screen, it shows flashing red mark under front drivers wheel which on screen is lower than others - although in reality it's at standard height.

I crawl under and fiddle around with front height sensor arms - passenger side responds - drivers side does not and I pull at the connection with height sensor and it is loose - pulls right off with no clicks and I just can't seem to get it to go back on properly.

At least I think I have found the problem - i.e. height sensor electrical connection come loose - but how the hell do they go back on... and stay on??????

Pushing hard on it / pinching sides while pushing....I have exhausted the possibilities my little brain can come up with, but it just won't go back on.

PLEASE CAN ANYONE HELP.... An old man is getting very frustrated and feeling foolish!!!!

Probably the clip which holds the plug in place that has broken.

Cable ties should hold it fast

I'll have a further look and go this afternoon....but it just didn't feel like a connection was being made when pushed together.

I presume EAS fault will clear when fixed.........???? !!

Just had a further frustrating session with this.....

It is just a push on connection with clips on either side which hold over projections on receiving connection. Everything including clips are present, but it just will not push on !!!

Maybe receiving pins have become out of line - they look straight...

Ah well... looks like I'll have to go to local indy for help.

Get a small needle or similar and just check there is nothing wedged inside the connector crimps inside the housing.

Inside connector is like a concertina - when connecting air pressure builds and resists the push -

Local indy pushed- grunted -tugged & pushed and Bingo!.

As he said "Brute Strength and Ignorance" Qualities I thought I had in abundance ! But now have to realise as I get older ....just Ignorance

Any way , once back on - fault cleared - oh the joy of "bong-less" switch off in a fullfat !!
