Lambda sensors?

Hi guys, ive just driven 10hrs from Essex to Scotland trouble free! Just as I was pulling into the road where im staying the rr started to loose power smell of oil/fuel/rubber burning and sounding like a tractor. I thought coil pack straight away but have just hooked it up to my code reader and its stating lambda sensors bank 1 and 2. Ive reset the codes and its running good again but im scared stiff to take her out as im a million miles away from anywhere!

Do these symptoms sound like the lambdas and is there any tests or anything I should do apart from replace them. Obviously I dont want to replace if the code could be caused by something else.

Any advice or assistance would be appreciated as im stranded!

Thanks everyone
