The F35 didn't make it but they had this static display.

Which the Chinese spys came to look at.

State the bleedin' obvious.

The 787 was there together with its lovely Rolls Royce engines but it didn't fly.

Remember the Lockheed Constellation that I opened the thread with? Well it was here - the very same one that flew over my house.

Those engines take a lot of fettling.

This guy is just trying to get sucked off.

If you have +10,000bhp you need a big propeller.

Hope they strapped the cargo down well.

By the way, the crew were some of the most friendly and helpful people I've met.

Pretty cramped inside.

Unbelievable though it may sound this car actually uses more fuel than an SC.

Check out the speed and weight ratings - 235 mph and 75,000lb odd of weight.

Needs no introduction.

This Hawker Sea Fury has a similar though later 18 cylinder Bristol engine to my coffee table. Sounded wonderful.

Here's a Canberra for all the Australians on the forum.

Those Rolls Royce Avons were noisy, but sounded wonderful.

Just a shame all the trade exhibits were closed. Think I'd only go again on a trade day if I could get a pass.

Fantastic photos, thanks! Thumbs Up

I just love the comment that the Sea Fury "has a similar engine to my coffee table." That's said by someone who knows a hell of a lot about interior decorating! Bow down

Is that a Spitfire?

Is the pilot okay?

Firstly, these photos are not brilliant, but I was struggling a bit with a heavy 80-400mm Nikon VR lens and trying to follow these chaps at 400mph!!

Taken during the Red Arrows display at Silverstone this year at the British GP.

I got myself at Becketts which is where they were doing most of the display.

I think they'll manage to repair the plane. Just sad to see it in that state.

Flying in the Lockheed Super Constellation video. Think I'll have to try a ride on it.

First flight of the Hawk was 40 years ago today. 999 ordered so far and it's still in production.

You know how bad it would be if your car fell off its jack?
