Bluetooth gone funny.. sounds like muffled underwater women!

Hi all,

Any ideas.. for no reason that i can think off my bluetooth connects fine but the sound has gone funny.. Sounds very faint and like people are underwater and muffled..

Any ideas what would cause this or how to fix?

2007 RR Vogue SE
Iphone Bluetooth (so no contacts) but has connected fine
Normal sound system works fine
Phone works fine on its own
Have left it all switched off and tried numerous times, both phone and car
Only slight issue was phone rebooted/reset today and needed pin to login to car system

Very annoying with 2 days on the road ahead of me! appreciate any ideas or fixes.

Cheers

Nick

Could be the atmospherics where you are or maybe cross over of signals from different mobile operators ....

Plus don't know your network but since T-MOBILE has joined with ORANGE they are re-aligning some of their transmitter Frequencies ........

Do you have the same problem on any other mobile or just your I-PHONE ====================================

People can here me fine, it's that i can't hear them very well. literally like they are underwater or in a dustbin stuffed with blankets!!

I am with Vodafone and has happened all day in different places.. I havent changed anything on the car or phone and has been fine!

Very odd.. what determins the sound output on the phone? cos stereo seems fine so not an amp or speaker issue!? unless its a seperate speaker?

Cheers all

Nick

This might work ..........Found this on another site when the wife was having problems with her I-Phone .....

"If you’re having problems with the audio output from your iPhone, make sure that you’re properly using iTunes’ and iPhone’s Sound Check features.
Buried in iTunes’ Preferences under Playback, this odd but useful iTunes feature can be activated to figure out the proper volume levels for incoming and outgoing calls and music on your phone,"

"so that any sound coming out of your i-phone stays at a consistent volume without huge spikes or valleys."

Failing that maybe it could be a Mic fault as member daveo said as he is a bit of a wiz in the electronic side of things......... Thumbs Up ====================================

It would only be a mic fault if the other person thought the OP was underwater.... Land Rover Addict
