Yes, I had mine chipped as soon as I got it, and have done 90000 since.

The MPG gets a little better but you have to teach your gearbox to shift up early to use the extra torque and to do that you must accelerate every where on as light a throttle as possible. It also seems to do another trick where to overtake hard you floor the throttle but lift off straight away and then plant the throttle and the car will now accelerate as hard as it can in a higher gear and I find this helps.

cheers axle, what about the statement that a remap might cause excessive wear on the gearbax etc.. ... - .- -.

Is a remap on a TD6 a pretty sure way to wreck the gearbox?. |

As I said chipping can cause excessive wear.

got the car bak, got a tip from garage man to drive it hard for a full tank worth so engine can recognise the driving style and adjust.
