United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Supercharged Supercharged Java Black

If it's any help my RR got stolen with all of the keys so the garage had to find another way in once it'd been recovered. They said while recovering it the alarm just kept going off constantly, so that's a good thing.

To get into the car they could have smashed a window, but they knew the doors wouldn't unlock from either the button or the internal handles. Also they found that a locksmith couldn't get in using the little inflatable pillow thing they have, apparently our doors won't bend like other cars.

Finally to get in they had to drill the lock, which took 5 hours 6 drill bits and a lot of swearing apparently.

So the moral of the story is that you can't steal our cars without they keys or people not hearing the alarm go off, and unless a windows smashed no-one is getting in without a key. Kind of nice to know really.

What I have done is have lights on a pir with a camera mounted high but also put up a flashgun on a separate pir so lights go on then they move about a yard closer and the flash goes of 3 times instinctively you look up right into the cctv highly recommended Very Happy

When I locked my keys in,the rac managed to put an air bag in the top
of the door but couldn't reach the central locking to open the car.
Then a locksmith gave up after 45 minutes of trying to pick the lock. I
Had to smash the rear o/s window to gain access. 2004 vogue

Don't let the RAC airbag your door. It can damage the doors and the central locking button is disabled if the car superlocks (e.g. is locked and immobilised using the key fob).

So pretty much much only thieves can break into them without smashing the windows unless you know the trick to opening them, which i dont btw. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

if you own an early model, under the bmw ownership... there is a way that crooks can copy the details of your car, from the diagnostic socket, and order a key! especially from abroad. ie pretend to have details to produce in a dealers as being a holiday'ing stranded motorist.
also, they can have a little car parking bump into you, and call in a friendly guy just up the road, to quickly get your paintcolour from the diagnostic socket, for a free repair etc. and presto, they have the key cutting info stored in said ecu. they need the key in ign. to get this.
they come back with a key another day. -to the address you just gave them, in the carpark! or from DVLA for £2.50p

never let anyone near your bmw era diag. socket.

security is good on these and most cars thesedays. they NEED a key! getting one is the trick! handbag thefts, are as easy as waving key in air in carparks, and seeing which one is flashing back at you!!!!!!

Thought I would update this:

I installed CCTV cameras to watch over the house/driveway/cars. No one has come near the house/cars since. If anyone is worried about their cars, I would highly recommend CCTV. for just over 100 quid, you can get a fairly impressive system with a couple of cameras.

Cheers,

Paul.

Yes it is. I've got an app on my phone so I can view the live feed and also look at past recordings. i've also set up email alerts one one camera, if any motion is detected.

Cheers.
