I keep saying this but how many other dealers are open on a sunday?

They are very few car dealers that close up shop on a sunday that sell sub £50k vehicles. That just shows it all to me if they can afford to be closed one of the busier days in the week for business then they must be making more than enough profit. FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Hi all,

Let me know if anyone needs anything....... we're open 7 days (24/7 almost on the forum Whistle )!

We have availability for RR (L405) build slots for late Sept/Oct build at this stage and would be grateful of any custom.

Drop Jeremy or I a line at forum@hadleygreen.co.uk if you would like to discuss further.

Not that I have worked at many, but every other dealership I have worked for have opened on a Sunday. However when I joined Hadley Green in 2012 I had the task of introducing Sunday opening for the first time since the company was formed in 1919......

........There was some resistance, however we 'dealers' need to embrace the fact that we are the same as any other retail environment such as Marks & Spencer, B & Q, Garden Centres etc where our customers find it generally more convenient to buy on weekends. The other factor of course is how well staffed the dealerships are on a Sunday.

Although our Aftersales facility is closed, we still run with at least four Sales Executives and a decision making Manager at all times to ensure that we opperate in the same way as we would do during the week (from a sales perspective).

Serious curiosity question James (I can guess but would be interested to know exactly) what the range of decisions for your DMM to make is?; and at what point does an executive have to call in the DMM please?

Thanks

Thumbs Up

Value a part-exchange.
Structure finance deals.
Authorise any deal where the selling price is less than screen price (used car) or less than RRP OTR (new car).
Make decisions where a left-field propersition is made - Sell a demo which is still in use, or a showroom car where a replacement needs to be found.

To look after the general H&S of the staff working, ensure that we are properly open for business (flags up, coffee on, attentive etc), thank each visitor personally for visiting us and make sure that the site is secure at close of play.

...... and that we sell a few cars in between!

Cushy number with nobody to worry about but one's self then!

Very interesting, thank you very much.

That's a nice sounding touch about addressing customers too.

Thanks again Thumbs Up
