Im interested in this also but not sure about the fitting,
do you have to chop into the wiring loom to fit this or is it plug and play ?
Anybody using the newest version available ?

Hi I use ecotuning for over a year now here in Norway and for me it is working because the speeds here are mostly 80 km/hour this means that the gearbox is in a shifting range before the tuning it would kick down as soon as you touched the accelerator or encounter a small hill. The downside is that the motorvibrations are now more noticeable.
I do save some fuel but not very much.

ecotuning

i bought one a couple of months ago and installed it, very easy to do you only have to graft in one extra wire that comes out of the new ecu, i also had my gearbox full rebuilt and modified with better clutchs and a bigger torque convertor lock up clutch, im not sure about the ecu as yet, it does some strange shifting and doesnt seem to lock up consistently at the same speeds etc, i would like the tc to lock up at 50 kph but it doesnt till 70kph, can you update the software to the lastest version yourself or does it have to be sent back, and how can i checkk what version it is.
another thing im not sure if it afects it is my tacho doesnt work havent had a chance to see why.
the needle sits at 500rpm all the time but when i rev it to (guessing) 3000rpm it drop to zero

Ecotuning gearbox ecu

I actually bought one over a year ago for the missus car...and never got around to fitting it! It was the modified one with the extra wire for engine speed. I had the gearbox oil and filter changed around the same time and all seemed well with the box. I'm not sure if I will ever fit it now ....I'm open to offers if anyone is interested....I'm in UK.

hello, the ecu upgrade is still done as i bought it just a couple of months ago. it a nice easy upgrade, heres the link.
http://www.ecotuning-automatic.de/
all you do is send payment via paypal and then send the ecu to his address on the site, a week later its returned, there is a wire to solder in when you refit now but its real easy and instructions are on the site to follow aswel.

the gear changes are the same as before to be honest, the only difference is the torque converter locks up a lot earlier (35-40mph) and you can accelerate with out the engine reving alot a not seeming to do a lot, now the car picks up speed alongside the engine, the only thing i will say is sometimes it seems to hold the torque lock up / gear a bit too long when shutting down and can cause a judder, it is simple to drive around once you have experienced it a couple of times though, over all it is definitely worth the upgrade.

Hi everyone! been looking at doing this on my TD6, is the guy still going as I couldn't get the website link to work? I notice when I'm driving if I get above 35 mph and take my foot off the throttle the revs drop right down then if i accelerate gently they go up with the speed as though the t/c has locked is this standard for a normal TD6? (if i accelerate too much it drops down a gear and turns back into a rubber band) or is this "early" lock up when the t/c slips by 3% until it reaches above 50?

Thanks in advance!

I have been sorting out my boxes of Range Rover spares and came across the Ecotuning box still with instructions.
This is an early one I bought back in 2102.
If interested in buying please send me a PM.

Thanks
