I went to the Cheshire Show today. Strawberries, Ice Cream, Pimms and lots of lovely Landrovers  Travelling around in circles again.

J90 - snap! Loads of Landrovers, everywhere in fact! 2007 Zermatt Silver TDV8 Vogue SE - now sold but was a great car!

Went to stoke on trent out in the sticks to have a look at a mobility power chair hoist.
met a loverly chap whom buys and sells mobility cars ramps and hoists all second hand. I needed to know if I could fit a hoist in the rr and he obliged me with a nearly new hoist. Some bracket making and a live feed direct from battery ( that will be fun ) and I should be there.

Adding significant aftermarket electronics. You are a brave man.

That's impressive economy Stan!

In my SC I sat with the cruise control on at exactly 70 coming up the A69 to Carlisle from Newcastle and left it at 70 all the way up the M74 to Glasgow and the most I saw when coming through the 50 limit on the M74 was 20.3mpg!!

Just had the air con regassed at Halfords in Carlisle. 40 mins to sort it, no problems with the clean, vac and regas, plus only cost £49.00!!

400 miles and 7 hours return trip driving yesterday. Through rain and shine. Not a brake squeal nor a drop of coolant spilled

Fully laden with passengers and all - young and not really that old - transported in complete comfort and safety (factory RSE is definitely a desirable option for those with children).

The sat nav is excellent and the ICE/ 'media' is to be commended (music up front, headphone RSE DVD viewing on in the rear, traffic announcements activated and sat nav all working in harmony).

Everyone arrived as relaxed and fresh as they felt at the outset.

Passed many nice vehicles en route. Didn't wish we were in any other though!

busy week of Alignments,why can't they just do it right the first time,doing the rear brake lines and getting the Test done.Am just going to enjoy driving it later....

Over the last week I've been rust proofing the car, still got a bit to do. Today I cleaned and wax injected both sills.





Some surface rust about, but hopefully arrested it for a while.

Cleaned the parchment leather with autoglym leather cleaner. Got some
Great results but will need another going over as it was very dirty. Just need to feed the leather now to complete the job.

I do love light interiors but boy do they show the dirt.
