If police related seizure it would have been under the Proceeds of Crime Act (POCA).

As an off the cuff type statement, I can't see it being any more risky than buying any car from a private seller, or even some traders........

In my eyes a finance repo usually means they couldn't afford it for a good while and if they couldn't afford the payment on the car would they likely have serviced it?

Buyer Beware - There is no mention of police repossessions. Repossessions can mean anything ! Note carefully that they are not offering any form of guarantee or comeback - they say its a trade sale with all faults accepted and that's what you will sign. You buy what you see.

This has been listed for a couple of months now, and originally the listing did say it was a finance repo. Given the price puts it firmly in amongst the 150k mile ones of the same age, the fact it hasn't sold is telling. I did think about going to see it on the search for mine but decided not to.

I actually think that not offering a warrantee as a trader is against the law. |

All I say is just look at what you are signing and protect your ebay identity as regards feedback. Do not use their computer to do anything. Do not pay anything until you are 100% sure about what you are buying and have had a test drive. |
