Sounds like a neat plan.

Germany 2013 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Mariana Black

Very Happy

thanks for all those nice posts ... believe me after a view days where I was schocked - I became a real mean man (in my fantasy) and I really love those excellent ideas how to kill the thief. An believe me, fantasy wise electrical power was only the most peaceful way to do it.

I like the trunk monkey most ...

There is an update. There were at least 5 cars stolen this night, and at least one other FF. The Police told me, that the chance to get the car back is lower than 1%.

So I bought a new one, a used one, because I did not want to wait 8 Month and more. If my car unexpectialy would apear again, I could cancel the order.

It seems to be that I will have a SDV8 in Marina Black with Silver roof in 3 weeks ....

Can somebody tell me where I can order the monkey - does he need to be installed, if so, does someone knows a garage who can handle this around Frankfurt area? Shocked

I am currently cheching out some of the deactivation OBD Interface ideas with my garage and a professional tracker/blocker device. Perhaps someone has some experiences with:

just a thought stu, if you make sure you 'superlock' the range then this de-activates the internal handles , so if a thief does break a window he would have difficulty accessing the obd port if he cant open the door..

good news re getting another range.. ... - .- -.

Stuempf,

Trunk Monkey installation is a doddle. Just fit a bunch of bananas anywhere in the trunk of your car along with a spare wheel brace or other heavy blunt instrument. Drive to your nearest safari park and proceed through the chimpanzee enclosure with your trunk open. This will then attract your very own Trunk Monkey to take up residence in the trunk of your car.

Rolling with laughter

That link made me think of it. A trunk cobra would also work well and might take up less space. Mr. Green

Nice to hear you're getting a replacement, but it still makes one VERY angry.

If steering locks aren't up to it, what about those clamps like the police use?
