Has anyone tried fitting the standard aero blades (that match the 808 lengths) or do you definitely need these unique Range Rover compatible ones? Tom

its the clip that connects the wiper assembly to the wiper arm which is unique Tom...i've heard that you can change the FF's wiper arm to a normal one which accepts normal aero wiper blades ... ... - .- -.

I fitted a new set of Land Rover wiper bladed to my FFRR when I bought it in September 2010, they've been on there since and are some of the best blades I've ever had fitted to a vehicle

It's a shame it isn't winter because that's when these would really get a good test in different temperature ranges and loads of wet dirty weather. It would also be good to know if the fixings/clips are sturdy enough for continual usage in high speed wet weather driving.

Also, what is important to know, once you have adapted the OE wiper arms to fit these blades, is there no going back? Or, do you have to buy new wiper arms if you want to revert back to original? Discovery 4 HSE

just fitted mine. ten mins of swearing to get the old ones off and two seconds to fit the new ones
it's the rear wipe thats a begger both to get the old un off and the new un on
there's no brand mark anywhere on these wipers and it looks like some canny devil has spotted a market opportunity and is knocking them out.
bring on the rain so I can check em out

Fitted a set of these new aero type wipers yesterday.

Raining pretty heavily today and I can report that they appear to work well and are quieter than my Bosch wipers.

Time will tell if they stand up to a British Winter!

You will be able to go back to normal style wipers if they don't suit. Just be careful removing the plastic clip with 'Lock', especially on the drivers side.

You will lose the spoiler that is fitted as standard on the driver's side and I guess that is why these new aero ones are quieter.

Just fitted mine, they look better.... It's not raining though...

My very old clips just broke to a thousand pieces when I tried to get them out so no going back for me.... Pete

I've ordered a set after I got frustrated with the adapter from Canada.

I have some concerns that the springs in the base of the wiper arm may not be strong enough to stabilise the 'floppy' frameless wipers, That said as I removed my clips years ago so I'm also in the 'not going back without considerable expense' camp.

Thumbs Up

Gents, the clips are an in-expensive item from Dan etc... If memory serves me correctly, you can replace the slider mech for less than a tenner! So, certainly not the end of the world Thumbs Up

They don't look very special in terms of fittings. If someone local to us in Southampton can pop in one day, I will see what I can match. Paul Redding
