Deployable side steps

Hi everyone,
The drivers side step keeps deploying by its self??
When we lock the car it starts to close, goes so far & then deploys again. Its as if its needs oiling.
So can it be oiled and if so whats the best way to do it? Jamie

I don't think there's a blockage, because if I help it close it stays closed. Also if I help it a few times on the bounce it starts to work as it should. Then a few weeks later it starts to play up again!!! Jamie

My NS one does this, people here suggested a battery reset.

I have WD40'd it before but can't say it made much difference. I'm hoping to get it looked at under warranty. Discovery 4 HSE
