Hi,
Have a HSC and it didnt come with the bi-xenon headlights.Maybe Aus didnt want/need the HID's when they came out.
Does anyone have a suitable website(ebay or other) so that I can convert my halogens to HID's.

dont fit aftermarket hid kits as your halogen enclosures wont project the light forward properly.

genuine FF xenon headlight units are a straight swop but not sure re the wiring and you might need a headlight washer system depending on the laws there..... ... - .- -.

A couple of the guys here have converted there headlights to HID,some are having a few issues,others dont have issues.. Think I'll see how the night stalker bulbs go and decide from there.

I see a lot of these HID conversions to standard halogen headlights and driving round unlit country lanes these cars are a menace as the light diffraction within the headlamp assembly/reflector is all wrong leading to oncoming vehicles getting blinded.

I should state that I have no issue with high beam conversions to HID as these are turned off for oncoming traffic, its the dipped beam HID conversions I have a problem with.

There used to be a huge market for retrofitting HIDs in the UK, but the MOT and police have really clamped down on these.

Most off the issues stem from people using them in standard reflector type enclosures, rather than projector types.
In the standard enclosure, the light isn't as well focussed and due the higher intensity of the HID system, it tends to blind people.

There are HID kits that purport to reduce this, call (I think) HID-R, but in the UK, it's highly liely you'd get a tug from PC Plod if the see a conversion.
