Hi,
I have the rubber bumper bar on my beast and was looking at where to put my driving lights(Fyrltr) and a cb ariel on it.
When looking underneath the top section,it has 4 grommets(2 each side) that have a metal screw in section.
The grommets are under the "A" (range) and the "E"(rover)
Can anyone tell me what these are for.

Hello there

I have the same set up and have mounted the LR Driving Lights to the A-Bar which I have had sprayed up in body colour (Java Black)

The LR Driving Light kit came with two shallow "U" shaped metal brackets. These are screwed into the mounting holes in the underside of the A Bar and the Lamp Assembly slides onto them. The Lamps are held in position by two set screws on each Lamp and these are hidden by a small LR branded name plate that clips in place. I cant find a way to fix and lock the lamps in one position. Consequently if I go through a car wash the Lamps are often knocked out of postion and I have to reset them manually.

The best way to do it would be as follows:-

Step 1) Remove the bumper bar/bull bar
Step 2) Throw the bumper bar/bull bar into the nearest skip or alternatively if a skip is not available take it to your nearest local authority refuge plant
Step 3) Marvel at the front of your FFRR
Step 4) Drive with the high quality bi xenon headlamps

 Now: BMW 640d M Sport, Alpine White
Gone: Range Rover 4.4 V8 Vogue, Zambezi Silver, Charcoal Oxford Leather
Also: Mk1 Audi TT 1.8T Quattro, Brilliant Black

How did I know that would be suggested ?

I put one on my Disco 2 and some off road driving lamps, but that was because the standard lights are so bad.

There is one on these on the bay of e, and it looks like the spots mount from above ;

Just been on to my local landy supplier,its $700 for it...bloody hell(that includes the A bar)

So do any of you know where I could get just the brackets for the lights at a reasonable cost ?? and ship to Australia..

The Land Rover part number for the driving light kit is VUB001090. This includes the lights and all the electrics. Still around the £230 plus mark though.......

Not sure if you can just get the mounting kit though.....

There is a diagram with the parts for the lights and some more part numbers. If you look at the blue numbers and then use the table on the left to get LR part no and then do a google search etc.
