BBC Gone Too Far ? Jeremy Clarkson

Right, I know this is probably going to be a bit of a polarising topic, but given recent developments what do we think to the latest stance from the BBC ?

Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson says the BBC has told him he will be sacked if he makes "one more offensive remark, anywhere, at any time".

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-27266102

So he's going to have to keep pretty quiet from now on.

This could be the end of Top Gear as we know it........ Sad

Things have changed a bit since I was young.......

From what I can see, the said article was never broadcast, he tried to ensure he didn't say the word and if you have to get an audio specialist to do some trickery to even hear something, to me, it's like digging for an issue.

That said, the word is bad, I don't use it. It is offensive. If broadcast, the BBC would be for the high jump,

The reporter who want to such extreme lengths should be the one disciplined not Clarkson. Should've been old enough to know better...doh!

I'll bet they are working hard to find out who released the rushes to the paper. All they have to do is check the car park Wink

⬆⬆⬆⬆⬆+1 again.

What really gets me is abroad we are known as Brits (short for British) do we get upset - no absolutely not. Yet, if we abbreviate many countries names we are immediately branded racists. Some people need to get a life and worry more about the underfed children suffering and dieing rather than some stupid name that never hurt anyone.

And yet its OK for the Daily Telegraph to print THE WORD in a story relating to Guy Gibsons dog, who was called THE WORD!!

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/history/world-w...rbase.html

I thought the latest series with Hugh Bonneville, W1A, was a spoof about the BBC, seems not!!

Another celebrity witch-hunt. More to boost the DM's circulation than to report anything newsworthy. Si. <This is my name.

Unfortunately, we now live in a world run by the PC police Big Cry

When I was growing up many years ago, there was a saying 'sticks and stones may break your bones. but names will never hurt you' - seems we have long lost that 'common sense' approach Big Cry Big Cry

Now to me, REAL racism is what is going on in Syria, Ukraine, Sudan etc. etc, but I am just a dinasaur as I refuse to kow tow to all this PC bull Censored it 2006 (56 Reg) 4.4 V8 Vogue In Bonatti Grey (Gorgeous!!)

Slow news week in the UK ? Just reading up on this from a distance it seams the only issue here is the Daily Hate Mail publishing the story , that and the BBC management not having a pair of stones to tell the prats at the Mail to Censored off. 2008 MY Supercharged

IMO the whole situation is ridiculous, is society really that pathetic now that a word not even said out loud can offend. Dole blaggers, unruly youths, and plenty more are of more importance to me than what is clearly someone out to get Clarkson.

Some little toerag went looking for that clip and pushed it to the papers who were more than willing to try having a go for the sake of gutter news!

Ironically it was a cut scene, it was relegated to the cutting shop floor, it was neither said in the public domain nor intended for it. The Censored that dug it up is the one who broadcast it and should get his Censored chopped off for it too.
