ABS - HDC Should I be worried? | |
Have read several posts on here which state that if you disconnect the battery, once you re-connect it you will have ABS and HDC alarms until you turn the wheel from lock to lock.
I first disconnected my battery a couple of weeks ago, and removed it from the car to put it on my conditioning charger overnight. When I re-connected it, car sprang in to life as normal, with no alarms.
On Thursday, had the earth lead disconnected from the battery while I was fitting a tow bar. When I put it back on Friday morning, again no alarms.
Warning lights for HDC, ABS etc., etc. come on when the ignition is turned on, and go off as expected, so I don't think anything has been disconnected.
The HDC works, and the steering angle sensor is obviously working as well, because if I show the 4WD information screen on my display, I can see the front wheels turning.
So, do these alarms only occur if you have moved the steering? or should I be more concerned? 2006 (56 Reg) 4.4 V8 Vogue In Bonatti Grey (Gorgeous!!)
