ABS - HDC Should I be worried?

Have read several posts on here which state that if you disconnect the battery, once you re-connect it you will have ABS and HDC alarms until you turn the wheel from lock to lock.

I first disconnected my battery a couple of weeks ago, and removed it from the car to put it on my conditioning charger overnight. When I re-connected it, car sprang in to life as normal, with no alarms. Question

On Thursday, had the earth lead disconnected from the battery while I was fitting a tow bar. When I put it back on Friday morning, again no alarms.

Warning lights for HDC, ABS etc., etc. come on when the ignition is turned on, and go off as expected, so I don't think anything has been disconnected. Very Happy

The HDC works, and the steering angle sensor is obviously working as well, because if I show the 4WD information screen on my display, I can see the front wheels turning. Very Happy

So, do these alarms only occur if you have moved the steering? Question or should I be more concerned? Thud 2006 (56 Reg) 4.4 V8 Vogue In Bonatti Grey (Gorgeous!!)

The steering wheel reset only applies to pre 2006 MY cars so you won't need to do it on yours after disconnecting the battery Thumbs Up Stolen / Gone: 2006MY Supercharged LPG Autobiography - Zambezi Silver with Sand/Jet/Jet Oxford Leather.....
