Tailgate release button rubber cover

I bought one of these recently the rubber button that fits into the existing tailgate release button space. I have to say I prefer the tailgate release without the button fitted as when using it seems to become loose and I invariably have to keep refitting every time I use it Evil or Very Mad Is this how they are supposed to be ? Maybe I have fitted it incorrectly but I can see under the button there are 4 retracting clips that hold in place so a bit stumped thanks. Thumbs Up I have removed it for the moment due to frustration it does look nicer when fitted compared to plastic button. Present :2008 TDV8 HSE

on my td6 the cover fitted on and stayed on, but i'm having the same problem as you on my new FF.....the cover seems to be slightly over lapping the trim and gets caught very easy and then comes off..
i'm toying with the idea of glueing a thin membrane of sorts under the trim to cover the button.. ... - .- -.

You have to use it for it to fall off Laughing

Mine was the same, you really have to make sure the rubber tags are under the trim on the tailgate.

Something with a wide flat blade to push them under when fitted...... 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8
