four wheel drive

obviously the FFRR is four wheel drive but does the power go equal to the back and front... ... - .- -.

It has an open system, so it goes where it's needed.
In normal driving this should be 50:50 front and back, but if significant slippage is detected the centre diff would keep this at 50:50 I believe.

I'm not sure if the traction control just balances power left to right on each axle, like a defender does as it uses the vehicle brakes, or overrides the centre diff too. But I expect it's the former.

cheers fox, i ask because i've just obtained forur wheels/tyres and two have a little more tread on than the other two so thinking the FFRR had more drive on the rear , i was going to put the better treads there... ... - .- -.

If there is a small difference I'd put the lower ones on the rear, mainly because with steering and more than 50% braking the fronts can sometimes wear a little faster.
