I used an IID tool to turn off the hot and cold monitoring which can cause the flickering. It worked on my 2005 touchscreen when adding the 2012 rear and front lights. No need for a box of tricks at all except for the IID tool of course, which everyone should have anyway! Tom

Never, ever, ever use Scotch Locks, they cause all sorts of problems later in life! Solder wires and use shrink wrap to prevent moisture ingress!  Previous cars:

I just did the upgraded 2012 tail lights on my 06' but I also am experiencing the foglight issue. Any updates on fixes for this problem? The foglight being light really ruins the clean figure 8 look of the tail lights and its killing me when I take my Vogue out at night.

Yep, you will need to fit the interface boxes to solve this problem.

I bought the boxes off eBay for about 130 works fine on my passenger side light but my drivers side the led sidelight is it on the side of the light does not light up hasn't since bought the lights it does on the drivers side that has the box connected

If I wire in the other box fog stays on drivers side and the box buzzes and its a brand new replacement from the seller so do you think the light unit itself might be faulty? ??

Interesting do you think light unit is faulty as the led on the drivers side works but never has on the passenger side?

Its the long reflector on very front on the lights with an led in the middle of it is the light im trying to explain

Should have a white sticker on top with NAS (north american spec) or ROW (rest of world)
