4.4 TDV8 Engine Remap

After much consideration and flirting with 5.0 S/C I picked up my 2011 4.4 TDV8 Autobiography Stornoway Grey two days ago and still enjoying the buzz. My first RR and it's a stoater.
Has anyone remapped the 4.4 and if so was it worth the expense? Not bothered on a power basis as there's plenty of grunt, but I'll be doing 25-30k miles a year so any improvement in mpg could make it worthwhile in the long run. Had a lot of 'advice' from people based on hearsay but would like to hear from someone who's done it.

Not done it but be aware that the gearbox torque limit isn't much higher than what the engine can deliver in standard tune. 4.4 TDV8 Vogue Baltic Blue MY11

Hungary 2012 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Buckingham Blue

Agree on above as my mechanic also warned that the otherwise exceptional ZF8HP70 gearbox is not rated for much more torque than the standard 700Nm or whatever Lbft... He expalined that ha has seen gearbox failure at remapped/retuned 4.4 TDV8 vehicles. 4.4 TDV8 Vogue Buckingham Blue MY12

And also if you still have any kind of Land Rover warranty be aware they take a very dim view of Re-Mapping and I believe it's very obvious if a 4.4 TDV8 has had it done . The results are stunning but a few thing to consider here . 2008 MY Supercharged
