Porsche Macan

I was at the Lamborghini dealers today for an open day event. I noticed they had this in the shared Porsche carpark. It's not being unveiled to the public until Monday. I think it looks good in the flesh and the interior is spot-on.
The performance figures look very impressive for the diesel.

United Kingdom 2015 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Baltic Blue

I actually think this is what the rear of the facelift cayenne should have looked like instead of looking like a Hyundai Santa Fe!

Looks nice in the pics but can it off road?

Northern Ireland 2010 Range Rover Autobiography 5.0 SC V8 Java Black

The car itself looks really well but Cosmic alloy lookalikes a circa 1970's? Come on they can surely do better than that!! Should've been old enough to know better...doh!

United Kingdom 2003 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Zambezi Silver

Got to be better than the current small premium SUV's on sale:-

Land Rover Evqoue = Freelander in drag with poor engine selection. Why is the TDV6 not available??

Audi Q3 = words fail me

Audi Q5 = quite nice if a bit too 'Audi' corporate

Merc GLA = I'd rather take the bus

It's Porsches market to loose Whistle Now: BMW 640d M Sport, Alpine White
Gone: Range Rover 4.4 V8 Vogue, Zambezi Silver, Charcoal Oxford Leather
Also: Mk1 Audi TT 1.8T Quattro, Brilliant Black

I went to the official launch last night.. Lots of booze and food. It was well done with big screens up playing old racing videos of 911's in the 70's.. Lots of slo-mo corner shots. Anyway...
I am looking forward to seeing comparisons between the Macan and Sport, Evoque etc. Previously..

Presumably for packaging reasons (although Volvo got a 4.4 V8 into the same platform). New Hotfire engines need to be good, although in reality they can't compete with what's available in the VAG parts bin.

Macan is an expensive Focus-sized family hatch with a bit of SUV thrown in for school-run trendiness.
