The BMW issue is I believe just 1&3 series but still requires them to break some glass to code the new key thru the odb port.

I only have a postbox into the porch and then a solid door after that into the house so know my keys are safe without glass breakage as trying the back would result in the neighbours dogs going skits as I find out when I go out at night to get something from the garage. One of the neighbours dogs is well trained as it's just across the street from my parked up ff and as soon as I go near it the dog can be heard for miles and it's a big big husky! Some kids were say on an old BT DP cab near the ff and as soon as their butts touched it they left quite quick when the dog perked up Smile never had any kids back on it since strangely! Also if they tried any fence panels they would prob end up impaled as they are quite rotten as the recent winds showed and the gates creak like hell when looked at the wrong way.

Have you got a Blackvue yet Googs as they are worth the money and time to fit?

Breaking into an ff without noise unless the battery is toast and without the key is not easy unless the sounder and horns are stuffed but there are ways that you can get in and force the car to unlock at the very least the boot area... FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Little bit lax at mine with keys, they should be on the hook, but tend to get left near the front door, however yo would need to be a demon key hooker to swipe them!

Our doors all have 5 lever mortice locks and yales, keylocked timber windows and an alarm. Ive tried braking into my house, short of breaking a window or cracking out the tools, its pretty much impossible.......or at least very tricky..... Either that or im a rubbish burglar Whistle There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Mate of mine had the hard top stolen from his m3 BMW and car was right under his bedroom window. Turns out that the £3000 roof only needs to useless levers to be undone, with a small crack in the windows. My 99 Merc sl needs the engine on, so the keys, to take the roof off and the noise of the car letting go of the roof would wake the dead.

Feel comforted by the solid sound of all doors locking on the FFRR

Good luck nicking mine, cold start and the exhaust wakes the dead! Not sure the neighbours love me at 6:15 every morning heading to work though...

that said, anyone that goes to bed with keys on show or front door unlocked deserves everything they get. Insurance probably wont pay out and you will be jumping out of bed at every little creak/squeak for the next 5 years...just not worth it. You wouldn't leave the missus jewellery collection on show on the hall table so why do it with 20k+ of motor??? '08 Audi S6 Avant 5.2 V10 with Milltek non-resonated. Vrrrrrrmmmmmph

The densest thing i did was to somehow manage to leave the boot of swmbos car open the daY before we went on holiday, talking wide open not just unlocked, full of stuff, camcorder, camera, satnav, lenses. In the morning all were gone. Doh! There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Sorry, but must take issue with the statement that anyone who leaves keys etc. accessible deserves what they get. Twisted Evil

This is the big problem with the 'society' that we are all forced to live in these days!!! Big Cry

I SHOULD be able to leave my FF open with the keys in the ignition - if it isn't yours, you have no RIGHT to it!!

I know the police and the bleating politicians will tell you not to tempt them - BUT who is in the wrong here??

Sooner we implement sharia law the better!! Thumbs Up 2006 (56 Reg) 4.4 V8 Vogue In Bonatti Grey (Gorgeous!!)
