Vnitos, take photos of the panels and bumper, when you go to move the car on you will have proof that the car had no serious damage, and tell them to make a good job of it |

Depends on the quality of the paint job. If its a deep through the paint scratch then a quality blended panel spray/match is the only alternative. |

update - just left the dealership - they will respray the car. Must say Im quite impressed - I did not arrange a car to use beforehand, but when I left my car, the salesman actually offered me a car - not in the same league (only a VW Polo), but at least something to use in the meantime.

if you can see it's been resprayed, then it's not been done properly. bodyshops are well kitted out thesedays, and insurance companies have their own assesers to judge repairs etc. if he is sub'ing it out to a dodgy railway arch type cash job tax dodger, then it will possibly not blend in or even mismatch. remember, you have the right to complain. -and that comment about the resale value, is just leverage on his side, making you feel like it might go awry.

@john.boro - i took photos of the car before i took it to the dealer - so will just have to print and add it to the car's file. thanks for the advice |
