Out of interest does anyone caravan with a 5.0 S/C ? I only ask as I've seen one I fancy and I was after another full-fat 'cos I just never really found a lot of love for the Disco. Not really sure why.

I've towed a very heavy braked trailer with my 4.2 SC and hardly noticed it was there. As soon as the car notices somethings plugged into the trailer electrics it does modify it's behaviour somewhat. I can imagine a 5.0 would be a lot better and has a pretty flat torque curve and no turbo lag so it'll tow smoother too.

Never towed a caravan with mine but have recovered two cars (separately) on a proper car transporter trailer and I hardly noticed either was attached. Effortless best describes the experience and didn't seriously dent the the fuel consumption.

I tow with a Supercharged, albeit a 4.2 - it is absolutely effortless and makes towing quite fun especially when you need to overtakes something Stolen / Gone: 2006MY Supercharged LPG Autobiography - Zambezi Silver with Sand/Jet/Jet Oxford Leather..... |
