Hi all, I have a MY 14.25 SDV8 That releases a lot of white smoke from the exhaust sitting idling at the lights intermittently the smoke comes and goes. The temp out side sitting at around 35+ degrees there is no power change or rough running of the engine, just a lot of smoke that can be seen in my mirrors or blowing past the car. Any thoughts on what is going on ?

Condensation from the exhaust?

I had this problem with my previous car, a RRS 3.0TDV6 - clouds of white/blue smoke on acceleration, it was embarrassing. It was under warranty, the dealer/LR spend 6 months trying to fix it (they put it down to a turbo problem with that 2010 model year), eventually they gave up and shipped a new engine out from England.

I'd be going back to the dealer with it right away. 2012 L322 TDV8 Luxury

HI guys turbo oil scavenge line modification carried out no more smoke nice going JLR I can not fault their service

Hi guys the white smoke has appeared again, Had a little look under the car and found oil just below the L/H turbo where the turbo joins the exhaust connection , so its back to the shop for the turbo this time to be replaced and the front suspension struts as they are knocking and rattling when one wheel hits an irregularity in the road surface. The dealer had to get JLR to approve the repairs first. Will let you all know how this goes.

bang on front is the ARC not the struts , its a known issue Far to many gone...
