My New Range Rover

Hello Guys. Just thought I'd pop by a say hello. I'm after placing a deposit on a Black 2003 Range Rover Vogue Commercial (Ireland!). I'm looking forward to picking the car up on Sunday. I've had many Range Rovers in the past however this is the first one I plan on keeping for a while. I do buy and sell cars from time to time.

It does however need a few jobs done;

* The steering motor does not work - I'm going to check the fuse.
* It has new low profile tyres, chrome rubbish (Which I'm going to remove - not my style)

Looking forward to receiving it! Will upload pictures ASAP. Smile

As one can see - she's not too bad.

I'm going to change the alloys ASAP and remove all the bling putting it back standard especially the front grill.

Anyone have an idea how much the rims with brand new tyres should fetch? They are 22"

Smile

It's a commercial Stan. Lower tax in this country however normally the rear windows are solid (filled in with panels).

The tax is 333 vs 1500 odd euro for passenger.
It's just not worth it considering usually it's only me and one passenger.
Might remove the panel from the windows however and just leave them tinted - improved visibility when reversing and changing lane.

Look like it has the switches for the heated rear seats and the rear airvents as well as the mounts for the luggage cover and rear seatbelts. Are these actually supplied as commercial vehicles like with the old Defenders or does someone just take out the rear seats and cover the windows? Is there anything stopping you from putting rear seats back in again if you wanted? There is a difference between knowing your sh!t and knowing you're sh!t

It's supplied as a passenger and converted. Re-converting it depends;

* If it was imported from the UK as a van then to place the rear seats into the car would cost extra in VRT (Vehicle Registration Tax) slowly reducing to maybe 2,000 now however it would have been 50,000 euro additional when new if one wanted a passenger.
If caught with rear seats the 4x4 would be seized and myself would be liable for the VRT and additional road tax.

* If it was imported into Ireland when new or as a passenger from the UK then I would only owe the additional road tax as the VRT would have been paid. The difference between the commercial road tax and private is (1200 euro extra).

Either way, not a nice outcome.

Wow, those tax numbers are frightening, makes £500 per year for a later one seem cheap by comparison!

A Ford Mondeo 2004 2.0 TDCI is 710 Euro.
It's 93.50 pounds in the North.

Many a time I could do with a full flat floor for carrying loads but wouldn't want to sacrifice my back seats.
Does look like a nice car though
