Off Road and Compass

While waiting for SWMBO i was tinkering about with the touchscreen and came across these settings, and although i don't do off roading it's the first i have seen them in 5 year of owning the car ........... Shocked

Yep, you can only get the compass display when you select the 'Off Road' navigation option from the initial navigation screen, otherwise, in normal on road navigation, it isn't available and if you switch to the views you have shown, it does not show the compass at all (I always wondered why it couldn't though as the GPS knows which way you are travelling be it on or off road???). Steve

Look at the top left corner.

You can either select, ''Navigation show heading up'' or ''navigation show north up''.

These are the voice commands.

Of course you can always press the figure on the TL of the screen to change it.

The small one on the map works fine though - strange

well mine are used off road every week and daily in season, the compass is useless for me though, I know where I am going and have to stick to tracks anyway - would be only any use in the desert or a wide expanse of area where there are no tracks

I'll be looking forward to that, had a lot of fun in the snow with my RRS... No doubt more fun with the FFRR.
