Hi Mike, I have had this happen a couple of times during the last 12 months. I got round it by locking the car using the drivers door key instead of the remote. Leave it a couple of minutes and then unlock with the remote and all is fine.

Thanks all! I had a problem a few weeks ago where I locked the key in the car with the engine running. When I went to use the spare key shank the button would not pop up fully until after about an hour of playing with it. I sprayed some wd-40 down

Understanding more about this. My wife has a 2008 FFRR and the interior lights I believe are programable. Her lights turn off 2 seconds after the door is closed. The interior lights on my 2011 FFRR turn off after 1 minute and the dash cluster lights turn off another 2 min after that. I don't believe the interior lights are programable on my 2011. When the battery went dead a few weeks ago, I jump started it and it was fine for awhile but when I left it for 5 days the battery was dead again. Apparently after jump starting a dead battery, the battery will never charge up to "fully charged" by just driving it around. It has to be charged with a battery charger which is what I did yesterday and hopefully this will solve the problem. M |

Back to square one. Gremlins in my electrical system. The service advisor at my dealer told me to lock the car after I put it in the garage to completely shut down the system. I did last night and after 15 minutes the alarm went off. Hit "unlock" with the remoter key fob and then "lock" again and 40 min later the alarm went off. Hit unlock again and when I went to check on it awhile later, interior lights were off but the cluster light was showing "Battery low" Start Engine"???? and the cluster light never went dark completely but was very faintly lit. Probably now going to have to make 7 hr roundtrip to dealer! But I still love my car!! |

Now the issue seems to be the dash/cluster light. It is not turning off all the way when the ignition is turned off. You can see a faint glow when all is shut down. Not sure how they fix that. Am having it trailered this time to dealer. Thank god its still under warranty! |
