Scotland 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Santorini Black

nbunney

With the pin in it is like towing with an eye and pin hitch, main dealer said there was a modification to the drop plate which included the bolt.

New drop plate and bolt, no more noise.

Nope Big Cry Big Cry , at least not until Land Rover put the new "for L322 only until we change our mind" 4.4 into it! 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes

The delivery trip

OK here is what the trip computer shows for my run north, started on Wednesday afternoon from LPR and stopped overnight at the Premier Inn (I know not the usual haunt of FFRR owners!) J1 M6 at Rugby and then had a disastrous run north with delays - over an hour at Charnock Richard and then further north another smash reduced the motorway to one carriageway with very slow moving traffic at both sections - the car is now home in Scotland.
Ave speed, pitiful............................

No panic to refuel after I complete the 15 miles between Stirling and home either

Bearing in mind the engine sat idling for a lot of time on the M6, that it is uphill for a lot of the drive today, I'm not complaining with this as I got 32.1mpg out of the RRS on the way south on Monday.

Oh how correct you are Tim - got it on very very good authority the new engine will be in the RRS next year with some added trick bits Thumbs Up

Was gonna change the RRS but gonna wait now Very Happy "UNDERSTEER" ----is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"OVERSTEER" ------is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"HORSEPOWER" ----is how fast you hit the fence.
"TORQUE" -----------is how far you take the fence with you.

What's trick about magnetic ride instead of air-susupension? Audi have been using it for 2-3 years in their cars! What it does do is remove a whole load of problem/ unreliable parts and about 250kg of weight in compressor, piping, counterweights and suspension donuts and that is really important for getting the weight and hence CO2 emissions down! 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes

You know, the more I look at fairly new 2nd hand FFRRs, the more I like the 2010 Vogue/SE facelift in Stornoway Grey.
It just seems to go very well with the grill, vents and door handles.
Not too 'in your face'. It just looks 'right'. Thumbs Up

The only version that comes fully colour coded by the factory too as the few naked plastic bits are coloured very very close to the body colour............................... if you like that sort of thing of course! 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes
