That's not really a good example of a standard car with factory tints!

'Clear' glass, yes; factory privacy (or, indeed, any kind of 'half-tint'), nooooo.... For those of us who get it, it's about the ruinous effect it has on the car's appearance. As someone has said, it cannot possibly have been what the designers had in mind. I notice that the Porsche 991 is available with privacy glass...who, or what, exactly, is being 'protected' by this glass in the back of a GT3-that-has-no-rear-seats?

The L322 currently in the family was a LR ex-fleet TDV8 VSE, which had dark glass. So strongly do we feel that we paid to have clear glass retro-fitted, because it was the only blue car we could find in a sea of black (that's another thread...) in the LR/Pistonhead classifieds.

I've often wondered why LR doesn't do those retractable window blinds that BMW and MB provide on certain models. They work very well.

Personally I would always go for tints especially on a large SUV like a FFRR and think that they look strange with clear glass plus I like the added security. Personal opinion and everyone is different in what they like. There is a difference between knowing your sh!t and knowing you're sh!t

Portugal 2007 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Java Black

I never liked tint on windows car, sorry looks tuning style for me!

But when i bought my L322 it came with light tint from 3M and i begin to like it, didn't removed, and is nice to protect my daughter from the sun.

So i changed i like... light tint!

But dark tint still looks like tuning style and is not for my taste! Ex-FULLFATTY now downgraded

Just don't get nabbed by the boys in blue if you have the fronts tinted, even if you have a very light tint Embarassed I thought mine where legal, was told they where by dealer Evil or Very Mad and found they are not. By the metre readings the TC had you really cant put any thing on factory front tinted windows on our FF's. If it dont work.......burn it!

If the IId tool cant fix it.......burn the FF.

If the FF cant be fixed......buy a Land Cruiser!

If the LC cant be fixed..............................................BUY a horse !!
