United Kingdom 2014 Range Rover Vogue TDV6 Aintree Green

Not sure about earlier models, but the current L405 offers separately options for privacy side /rear glass and for solar reflective glass (clear but very slight tint effect all round). So best of both worlds for me is clear glass for vision, but reflective option for summer cool, which works for my colour combo. A matter of taste (or lack of Smile ) Norman

Past LR: L322 Vogue 4.4 V8 (2002); Discovery series1 V8 (1995)

JLR only sells them here (and US) with the tint. Therefore, I think the non-tinted ones look a bit strange. I would certainly prefer a factory tint over an aftermarket one. The factory tint is light enough I've never notice a problem seeing out from any of the windows.

I love the expression 'ugly kid glass' - I've never heard that before coming to this site. Thumbs Up

Factory tints on mine, not too dark at all.

The car I'm going to look at is Black with Ivory and the clear looks good in the pics.

I think it depends on the colour of the Range Rover and the interior colour.

Looks terrible, more so when only the rear windows can be legally done in a darker tint. Just look at the L322 at the top of the page - like an Irish VAT-dodge van.

Completely ruins the look of the car by splitting the greenhouse unnaturally - cars aren't designed to have that visual break. You might as well paint your rear wheels black and front silver.

Why don't people pimp-tint their house windows to protect their precious children/hide things from burglars?
