I bought my car in nov 2011 with 115k on it. Had a 12 months warranty when I bought it from the dealer (non LR perhaps obviously) and was given the option to renew at the end of the 12 month period.

I have renewed in nov 2013 and paid £435 for 24 months cover till nov 2015.

Covers everything but consumables.

It's with auto protect.

I know some say it's not worth the money and covers nothing when push comes to shove, but they have just paid £229 for fitment of a new rear wiper motor.

So what I'm saying I suppose, is get a car with a 12 month warranty, and you may be asked to extend at the end.

I can transfer my warranty to the new owner if I sell it, or move across to my new car........
