Xenons - sticky/flicky ?

Driving home tonight on country road I hit the full beam - nothing, then a flicker, then full beam. Had to drop to dipped for oncoming car, then back to full beam, flicker flicker flicker flicker flicker flicker flicker and on it went til it finally stayed on, dipped beam again then back to full and all was well. Headlights not used for three days prior. Both headlights doing it, at the same time.

Just a gremlin (will have to remember to warm them up before MOT time!), or something more to be concerned about? .

try the mains when the engine is off but the ignition is on, you'll be able to hear them sticking [or not]

btw , could it have been the halogen mains flickering?

I will, but I always had dipped beam, so it was as if the "eyelids" on the xenons were flicking up and down from duipped to full beam of their own accord, not quite getting set ? .
