Rumble in 5th gear 1800rpm when accelerating

Hi there, I'm new to this site so bare with me while I work out how to use it...
I have noticed. Low pitched tumble from the rear of my 53 rr td6.
I have no idea what it is possible diff replacement?
Only noticed it during the week and again last night on a long trip to Bristol

Get in touch if anyone has any idea

Many thanks

Martin

United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Zermatt Silver

Welcome!

I do hope I am wrong, but unfortunately it may be bad news - the auto box on the TD6 doesn't have the best reputation search 'torque converter' failure' and 'cattle grid' and check if you are getting any of the other symptoms described... 2007 Zermatt Silver TDV8 Vogue SE - now sold but was a great car!

There was also an issue with the front diff flange... Changed on cars FOC by LR main agents back some few years ago now... Check first weather yours is the new slider type rather than the bolted type Thumbs Up Google it for images Thumbs Up

I have just googled this info. These cars really can be a nightmare, in the history of the car there was a gearbox refurbishment 2 years ago, I noticed a few weeks ago in 1st gear easing off acceleration there was like a scraping noise from front I don't know if this has anything to do with it but this has seemed to go away.
The car has 150k miles so it's getting on abit,
But I fear the worst for the rangey unfortunately.
I shall check the car on a ramp later and see if anything obvious.
Thanks for the replies any more words of wisdom are much appreciated
