United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Vogue Td6 Zermatt Silver
Barnsley Road, Wakefield, South Yorkshire

Before i purchased my Vogue, i was looking around at the dealers in Wakefield and came across a nice Vogue SE, for £29,000. He asked if i wanted to test drive, and i said i was wondering about getting a value on my current car as a p/x.

And he was so cheeky to say "we aren't a valuation service". I only wanted to know the value of my vehicle so i could p/x it in and let you rip me off. Anyway, I said how about a test drive then. I was asking how much i might be able to get off, and he said that he'd already knocked £500 off the day before. He told me these sold quickly, even though there was rust in the wheels etc (not been used for a while)

I told him id seen one the same for £23,000 and he said "this is the SE, blah blah" at the time i didn't really know what was what. So i said the one i was looking at was SE just without rear entertainment. So i said, "what about the test drive" and then he said, "wait until you've made a final decision on what you want to do. No point test driving it if you aren't buying it"

So pretty much cheeky, he was mr know it all.

Not good customer service at all - to say i was just looking at the car, it definitely put me off!

go tell him to f Censored k himself. had this with the dealer that sounds like a fish, its as if they resent you having enough money to buy their cars. You test drive before you buy not after, and you need to know the numbers to get a feel for the deal. F Censored k him I say, take your money else where, an unsatisfactory realationship/deal with the seller spoils the car, a good one makes it, its your money spend it where you feel good. No body told me there would be days like these

Put me off completely. Even if the car was quite a bargain i would have been slightly put off with the dealer. I love the cheerful, do-anything-to-help guys. Makes me feel like my money is going somewhere good, kind of.

Really annoying when you are the one spending almost £30k on a car, and they're being smart ass with you. Maybe because i was in a van he though i was a gypsy..

they should not make judgements on first impressions or appearance, you are a potential customer and pay their meagre wages, make them kiss your feet, cars arent selling at the moment. No body told me there would be days like these

Yes i definitely agree. I could have been a secret millionaire for all he knew.

He said, "its been here around 3 week" so i asked him what kind of money it may drop to and he said "it was reduced £500 yesterday and is on the website, so should sell quickly" as though to say, you aren't getting a penny off because its going to be sold tomorrow.

Hmmm, i might take a re-visit and see if its still there.. Whistle

Not desperate, just like the idea of the Rear entertainment, and the interior is black with a nice cream piping - looks "snazz"

Would need side steps and other stuff adding though Evil or Very Mad

Ah thats a shame. I think if i was to buy another FFRR it would be an 07+ with the newer dash etc.
I've noticed for an 07, it costs around £8,000 - £10,000 more than my 06 simply because of the dash upgrade and all the other stuff - or is it just me?
