My bluetooth has started acting strangely............but works perfectly well.

Quite often the phone will be connected... showing connected on the phone.... able to dial out and receive calls, but the display will show "Phone not fitted" unless you happen to be on a call.

Is there a full reset procedure for it as it seems more of a software gremlin than an actual fault ?

I have a not entirely unrelated problem. I-Phone 5 would auto pair no problem after entering the initial pairing code. Upgraded to a 5S and it no longer pairs automatically and I get the 'phone not attached' message annoying! SDV8 AB MY 2019

My 2008 used to do it all the time. I just used to go on my phone and say forget this devise and then repair it.

Pairing seems to happen fine.

Have noticed that a guaranteed way to have a flat battery is to switch a call to handset when I get out of the car. Next morning it looks like the bluetooth has kept the car alive all night.

Tried the un-pairing of the phone and also a physical disconnect of the Bluetooth module and no change.

My particular major funny is that if my phone (4S) pairs to the car - which it always does, without fail (thanks Wiggs) - if I get a phone call at home within about twenty minutes of getting in, the phone defaults to the car (which is now off) so I can't answer it. I have to turn BT off and on again to sort it.

My minor funny - caller ID comes up blank on the TV screen unless the person rings a second time. Works fine on the phone itself.

^ I have the same thing with caller ID , as for the phone staying connected to the car I think you are staying in range of the Bluetooth unit and it simply stays connected until the car goes to sleep. 2008 MY Supercharged

I think the unfortunate thing is that the car is never going to sleep unless the bluetooth is switched off on the phone..... very inconvenient if honest. It may be that the way my house is laid out means that in most cases I am quite near the car. 2011 Stornaway Grey 5.0SC Autobiography
