JLR or BMW Pdc ecu?

This might be a silly question but Can any one tell me if the pdc ecu is inter changeable between the range rover and certain bm's? I've been scouring but not come across anything the part numbers are different but the two ecu's look identical? F**K IT you only live once

England 2007 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Zermatt Silver

I.swapped.my faulty PDC ECU for a BMW one and works fine, only difference is new one doesn't beep when reverse is engaged.
