not a myth for me , i went on three car insurance comparison websites and all averaged £265 for diesel, £250 for petrol and £360 for petrol/lpg....so its certain [for me] that lpg has an extra premium..

and you have nowhere to put the spare... Ner Ner

wow sounds to me to go to the wrong ins companies. when i first had it converted i went to over 30 ins companies and not one of them said it would put the price up as long it was a certified lpg installer and u got your certificate.

why would i want a spare wheel ??? mines at home waiting for me. I have the AA for that.

90l petrol tank & a 70l lpg tank jeese i drive to china without stopping Very Happy

Mainly because it's handy to have.

Friend had no spare on thier car. Got a puncture that couldn't be repaired on a Saturday night. Couldn't get the same size tyre locally. Cue one very long recovery from Leeds down to London.

He always drove with a spare in the boot after that, even though there wasn't room for it under the floor.
