not a myth for me , i went on three car insurance comparison websites and all averaged £265 for diesel, £250 for petrol and £360 for petrol/lpg....so its certain [for me] that lpg has an extra premium.. and you have nowhere to put the spare... ![]() |

wow sounds to me to go to the wrong ins companies. when i first had it converted i went to over 30 ins companies and not one of them said it would put the price up as long it was a certified lpg installer and u got your certificate.

Mainly because it's handy to have. Friend had no spare on thier car. Got a puncture that couldn't be repaired on a Saturday night. Couldn't get the same size tyre locally. Cue one very long recovery from Leeds down to London. He always drove with a spare in the boot after that, even though there wasn't room for it under the floor. |

before i brought my diesel i wanted a petrol and lpg for the same reasons as you but chinas a long way lol....the thing that put me of was the high insurance and no where to put the spare... |

tbh lgp conversion is the best thing i have ever done for my car. and i will keep doing it until the day i die, nuff said. i would recommend it over anything else. |
