Drivers memory seat

It's one of those things that's been bugging me for years and I can't figure it out. It doesn't seem to matter wether I lock the car or not but most of the time I go to the car after being parked up, the drivers seat is way forward and at completely different angles to my setting so I have to always press the memory button to put it back even if I've just nipped out the car for a few mins. What am I doing wrong ?

You have memory 1234 buttons and 1234 keys... If your key you are using is key 3 for instance, it will set the seat to position 3 set in the memory. Set number 2 to your position, then if that doesn't work number 3 then 4...

Then you will know which key you have and which memory button it corresponds too Thumbs Up

Thanks for the reply. So what I have done is set the three memory positions on the seat to my preferred setting so t shouldn't matter what key I have. Still when I return to the car, the seat has moved way forwad and all the settings are different I then press 1, 2 or 3 to get it back to the correct place Confused

I have just today after nearly 3 years noticed how the seat does this only sometimes. I could never work out if it was keys or different ways of locking or unlocking and all sorts of combinations of different things that would cause it.

Its only if I open the tailgate.

It just seemed to randomly have moved forward after returning to the car after parking. Sometimes it would be ok, sometimes up against the windscreen. Today when I lifted the tailgate to get something, out of the corner of my eye I spotted the seat moving forward. So now I know what causes it. How to fix it is anyones guess. Weird.
