New engine, new gearbox, good bodywork in popular colour, easy to fit set of used leather seats, Fit a set of Piano Black interior trim an ram in an after-market nav and bobs your policeman you have a respectable 4k V8 runabout.....

I have seen a couple but they are rare indeed.

Fabric was a no cost option instead of leather (for the gas guzzler driving vegans I guess ) in Bleinheim style seats for SE and HSE.

I have seen two in France. Looks really odd to be honest, makes the L322 feel like a base specs Disco 3 !

I wonder if LR still has them in stock in the parts department to replace this worn out one

It would have made sense, maybe, in the G4 Challenge Rangies, but even thoses had Oxford leather seats.

wouldn't touch an ex Police vehicle ever, regardless of servicing its had or whatever. Police vehicles get a hammering and ragged rotten from cold starts. V8 or else ...
