United States 2006 Range Rover HSE 4.4 V8 Buckingham Blue
2011-2012 Land Rover HDD Navigation Disk in a 2006 RR HSE

I tried using the 2011-2012 Land Rover HDD Navigation System Map Data USA,Can.& Mex (LR part# AH22-10E898-JD3/Denso part# 104642-8050) on my MY2006 RR HSE LUX 4.4L.

It has:
- disk1 - US&Canada - AH22-10E898-BD
MAP Ver:20111101
APL Ver:5465
DVD ROM: 464410-5660

- disk2 - US&Canada - AH22-10E898-BD
MAP Ver:20111101 - APL Ver:5465
DVD ROM: 464410-5670

- disk3 - Mexico - AH22-10E898-JD
MAP Ver:20111101
APL Ver:5465
DVD ROM: 464410-5680

Before starting my RR, I replaced my 2004-2005 Nav disk with disk1 first, but display stated to 'install a map dvd'. While RR is running I ejected disk1 and re-inserted. Message stated 'this is not a map dvd'.

Please advise.

Thanks

after inserting disc one, insert disc two.........disc one is probably a firmware upgrade and disc two is the mapping disc.

Reckon Stan is onto something, as disc one you show as having an apl version which I think is a version of the firmware, and as disc 2 is also showing the map version as the same as disc 1 the I sum miser that disc 1 is the firmware and 2 is the functional map disc.

Presumably the Mexican version is smaller mapping wise and can fit on 1 disc.. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

ok, is there a duration time I should be waiting for? There is no indication on the display anything is happening. Should RR be running or just have ignition in III position?

yes right after disk 1, display didn't change. I'll go back out to garage in a few and try again. 2006 Range Rover HSE 4.4L Jag Engine/ Buckingham Blue
