Freeview TV Guide

Hi,

Fitted a digital TV tuner (Land Rover hybrid) to replace the old analogue unit. Can't seem to pick up the Freeview menu. It is picking up a signal and by fiddling with the PAL settings I can get BBC1, BBC4, Pick TV, Challenge etc, but the tuning buttons don't work. Duff unit or me being thick?!

Any advice appreciated!

Cheers,

Andy.

I get Freeview exactly as at home including radio stations.
Never had a look for epg, must have a look for it.

It seems to pick up 1 station at a time and only by changing from PALB to PAL I (for example) will it pick up a different channel. Don't know if there are any '753 hack' settings that I could amend to make it work. btw it's a 2006 S/C

Andy is referring to the OE hybrid tuner NDFI...the aftermarket jobbys will be the same as the normal house tv's...

according to the manual Andy, you click on auto and it stores whats available in your area..you can select UK from the menu as well..

Thanks chaps, the setting is on 'United Kingdom' but the 'Auto' button doesn't seem to do anything....neither does the manual tune for that matter! It's all a bit strange Sad

not sure on this one Andy, maybe a battery reset or [guessing now] you might have to do something in the ccf to active the tuner ?

Thanks Stan. It has recently had a reset due to a battery replacement and also at the last service they had to do a hard re-boot as the ECU locked out and wouldn't reset the service indicator (Range Rovers, don't you just luv 'em!). What is the ccf (please excuse my ignorance!).

Cheers,

Andy

Cheers Stan, that's really helpful thanks.

I'll have a further 'fiddle' later today. I assume the dealer could look at the CCF for me, unless you know of a reasonably priced diag/config tool?

Thanks,

Andy

an IIDtool would be a wise investment as it can also clear faults..
