I was always under the impression that the term "full fat" referred to a "proper" RR as opposed to the RRS etc? On that basis the L405 is definitely a FFRR!

In as much as there are now two (3 if you include the nasty e-poke) "Range Rovers", and that L322 and L320 were the "Full-Fat" (proper full on Rangie) and the "Semi-Skimmed" smaller, lighter Sport, .........

i think the l405 has been included in this forum as it wouldnt have enough members to justify a separate forum, and because it is included here everyone assumes that it is indeed a fullfat..

Not currently keen on the new RRS anyway... looks like a pumped up Evoque imo and yet I always double take wondering if it is actually an Evoque...

Stan, I thought exactly the same thing for a good while, right up until the point when my pal (DP at Stratstones) lent me a L405 for a weekend. It is nothing short of phenomenal and getting back into an L322 after that, whilst still a lovely car, it's obvious that L405 is the new "daddy". That said, he recently lent me a new Sport 5 litre charger. me !!!! What a stonking motor. Having driven it over 300 miles and then having to part with it made me realise that I REALLY want to own one. Looking purely at exterior profiles I would say that they make the Range Rover in 3 sizes, Small Medium and Large. But, having driven all 3 I accept that medium and large are now both proper Rangies. Still hate Evoque like a dose of the clap but the Sport is no longer a Disco in a dress, it's all grown up. |

Any Sport or Evoque is NOT a Full Fat, we all know this.

I always felt that it is because the top end Range Rover was confused with the Range Rover Sport (and now the Evoke).
