Back down to £96 for the Varta http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/271300038781?ssP...1439.l2649 Got mine today Thumbs Up

Regarding the warranty it says you can take it to any local garage and get them to do a test and email them the result and if faulty they will send you another. Alternatively you can pay them a £20 deposit and they will collect it and once checked if faulty they will return your deposit and send you another. Hope its not needed but seems straight forward.

Is that battery above not going to be too tall though as it's a bit shorter length wise which is often something people struggle with but I don't think the extra hieght would fit Sad FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Well the 90ah jobby in my rangey is toast Sad even the ctek can't bring it back to life so I think 1 or more cells have had their last laugh. It looks to be original so it's served well for 8yrs!

Will have to do some digging and see what I can get, though for ease I may get a 90/100ah battery as I have the explosive charge fitted to my positive lead so space will be uber tight and as I have a few spare 50-70ah units kicking around I may do a dual battery setup in the boot and just plug it straight into the fuseboard with a 90amp inline breaker fuse to help with the fbh runs Smile

Oh the joy of owning a rangey!! FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Battery megastore have them again at £95 so just ordered one up! Tayna wanted another £9 delivery ontop of their £96 price

When I get it the first thing it will get is a recondition cycle on the ctek to make sure it's perfect. It takes a while as mine is the mxs 5 so the battery is right on it's limit but is just easier to so before I put it in case there is anything wrong with it Smile FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

We Ordered my Varta battery from Tayna - £93 delivered (got to love a coupon code - I always search for one before clicking 'Buy'). Might only have been £3 saved but better in my pocket than theirs! 2011 4.4 TDV8 Autobiography

facebook45 is the only code i can find and knocks £2.41 off it Smile

I'm going to see if a local place can match the Tanya price or even close as i'd rather go pick it up and then not worry about what to do in warranty if it fails Smile

Im sure they have a simple exchange basis type thing but would rather have the pleasure of just driving to somewhere close by when needed Smile FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Well the other place locally wouldn't match the tayna delivered price so i just ordered it from Tayna.
The previous place i was going to order from i was just part way through the order page when dinner called so i got distracted and it saved me a few quid Smile

Tonight when i get home i think i'll give the car a quick wash after removing the battery from it in readiness for the new one and get the parts list drawn up!

Cheers chaps Smile FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Even better, i have just cancelled the Tayna order as i found one for
£85.94p
Delivered!

So another few quid into the parts kitty Smile might buy two wheel nuts with the saving but still the Varta I1 so should be fun to fit, but with a backup battery plumbed into the boot I should get a nice FBH run as well Smile FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

My Battery time is also coming, i have the HDC inactive issue when i start the RR.

I thought i will replace by original one from Land Rover but after read this post i saw the advice is to replace by Bosch S5 020 or Varta.

Is this correct?

Is cheaper and better, right? Ex-FULLFATTY now downgraded

Hi gencalo,

Essentially yes.

It's got

higher capacity
Stronger starting ability
Good warranty

Downside is it's meant to only just fit in the space of the old battery!
Look at the size of the one I just got to fit in mine Shocked FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's
