Where to get sat nav and tv modules?

I need a sat nav and tv module for my 2002 vogue as they weren't in there when I bought it.

At the moment the stereo screen is blank but it does work, I can listen to the radio/tape player but it will turn off after a couple of minutes and I just have to turn it off and on again (as you can imagine, this is very annoying)

What are the part numbers that I need as I need this working.
If I'm not going to watch tv, would you recommend just bypassing the tv module?

Thanks.

Do a search on here for MK4 BMW DVD nav units... Well worth the upgrade imho Thumbs Up

And yes, bypass the TV Tuner as it will be analogue anyway!

Do a search in the wiki my friend, been covered on here loads of times...

But to be blunt, the LR nav is like a sundial compared to the BMW being a digital watch Thumbs Up

Chalk & Cheese in comparison...

I would be inclined to contact Baris on the Forum...email...xkalibar@gmail.com who I have no doubt will be able to supply you with a Mark4 Satnav unit and up to date disc.
If you don't reinstall a tv unit you will either have to reposition the satnav unit slightly or lengthen a set of cables from the satnav to be able to byepass the tv unit.
Alternatively you can just install a redundant analogue tv unit as a means of installing the standard cables.
To be honest you might be better using a stand alone TomTom unit

Must admit, although my sat nav works, [2003], its the first car ive had with sat nav fitted, and after years of using tom tom, I cant get on with the lr system, so when I got my ff, rather than spent £££ on updating the existing kit to the newer bmw stuff, I bought a new tomtom xl via 135 with lifetime maps and Bluetooth for around £109 on offer at currys, and just got a brodit clip to mount it.

As Craig has said, it's the stereo not working which is the issue. I would never use the sat nav in the RR.

Ahhh...

The radio going off and then coming back on when you turn it off/on sounds like a fault in the DSP module.
Before spending money I'd be inclined to get your car connected to a diagnostic system and check for logged faults in the sound system. If you are really lucky it may just be a case of clearing a logged fault.

How much was that? I'm fine with an aftermarket as IMO apart from the look. It is much much better.
