Just ordered a pair. I've got LEDs in at the moment but they're starting to flicker after only a few weeks and have a blue appearance which I kinda liked to start off with.

Just hope these new ones are bright!

Here's my secret Wink take lights out and remove glass cover measure the circles one is 110mm and one is 120mm I think, the top one is coned so slide the led ring over with a small amount glue/silicone on inside then push on tight, now the bottom one put a line of sealant around bottom circle then stick the bottom led on on leave to dry then drill hole in plastic back feed the wires through to a connector and join to side light or aux ign if you want permanently on, the rings are about £5 a pair on flea bay then just a little sparky knowledge and presto saved a fortune and looks the dogs Smile

Hey Scotty

Any clues as to where you bought your led strips from. Did you have to cut them or where they the correct size already?

Thanks Ash

Easy enough hardest part is getting your oven timing and temp right. I did mine for 8 mins at 130 fan assisted and made it easy to do. Present :2008 TDV8 HSE

The strips were off eBay they were 12 led but I cut three off now and it looks better, what do you need the oven for? No need to use it to do this mod oh I see yours is the sealed unit not sure on that model as mine is glass removal Wink

Can you give us a link to where you got them. I can find loads of light strips but normally 5m in length. Don't think I'll need that much for the lights Smile Ash

Hi, do you mean you bought an LED sidelight bulb to replace the halogen bulb and you want to swap them?

If so, have you got an owner's handbook pages 264, 265 & 269 show how to do it?

Thumbs Up
